Excelsis Projects completed renovation works to the presbytery at St Joachim’s Catholic Church to bring it in line with modern standards and to better accommodate resident and visiting clergy. Originally designed with shared amenities, the space was reimagined to include self-contained rooms equipped with ensuites and built-in robes and communal areas for social and study activities.
Our team removed internal load-bearing walls to create the new self-contained rooms and to introduce new social and study areas, each accentuated with a fireplace. A unique addition was the creation of a prayer chapel within the presbytery for resident and visiting priests.
